[Austin, TX, November 2, 2026] — StorageDefender Inc., the pioneer of Smart Units-as-a-service, and QuikStor, the operator-built facility management software platform, today announced a software integration that ties together StorageDefender’s unit-level activity alerting and tenant subscriptions directly to the QuikStor platform.

Operators across the country have asked StorageDefender to connect Smart Units to the property management software they use. QuikStor, which has served self-storage since 1987, is the latest platform to answer that demand.

What Changes for QuikStor Operators

QuikStor operators can offer and manage StorageDefender Smart Units from inside QuikStor, with enrollment and subscription changes happening automatically. Smart Unit subscriptions generate an additional $12 to $20 in monthly revenue per enrolled unit, and StorageDefender’s Web Management Portal continues to deliver deeper unit-level analytics.

“We’re always looking for ways to give our operators more from the software they already use,” said Tony Gardner, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at QuikStor. “Smart Units add unit-level activity visibility and recurring revenue, and StorageDefender’s experience pioneering this category made them a natural addition to our network.“

“Our promise to operators has always been peace of mind that profits and to make it as easy as possible in doing so,” said Mark (MJ) Somers, Product Manager at StorageDefender. “Operators across the country want Smart Units in the platforms they run, and this integration with QuikStor delivers that with the same simplicity Smart Units have always had.”

About StorageDefender Inc.:

StorageDefender is the pioneer and leading national technology provider of Smart Units for self-storage owners and operators. Since creating the Smart Units-as-a-service category in 2019, StorageDefender has set the standard for unit-level intelligence with a patented, field-proven platform that generates independent, high-margin recurring revenue. The platform includes Smart Units for tenant activity alerts, Smart Zones for facility-wide intelligence, and the Web Management Portal (WMP) for centralized operational visibility. StorageDefender is an automated notification service; it does not monitor alerts, contact emergency services, or substitute for a security or alarm system. The fully independent system integrates with leading PMS providers, works alongside an operator’s existing technology, and requires no specific gate access, making portfolio-wide standardization low-cost and easy to deploy. StorageDefender is a registered trademark of StorageDefender Inc. TeamOfDefenders LLC is a subsidiary of StorageDefender Inc. (www.storage-defender.com)
