StorageDefender offers an optional Slack integration that delivers facility incident notifications to your team’s Slack workspace.

Data We Collect:

When you connect StorageDefender to Slack, we collect and store:

• Slack workspace ID and name
• Authorized Slack channel IDs where notifications are delivered
• User IDs of organization administrators who configure the integration
• Timestamps of integration setup and configuration changes

We do not collect, access, or process Slack messages, conversations, user profiles, or any other Slack workspace data beyond what is necessary to deliver notifications to your designated channels.

How We Use This Data:

Slack integration data is used exclusively to:

• Authenticate your workspace connection
• Route incident notifications to your configured Slack channels
• Maintain and troubleshoot your integration settings

StorageDefender’s Slack integration is one-way: we send incident alerts to your Slack channels but do not receive, monitor, or respond to Slack messages.

Data Retention:

At StorageDefender, we retain data related to the Facility Notifications sent via our Slack integration to ensure service quality, provide historical context for facility operators, and assist with troubleshooting.

What We Store:

• Message Content: The text and details of the Facility Notification sent to your Slack workspace.
• Message Metadata: This includes the timestamp of the alert, the recipient Slack workspace and channel IDs, and the delivery status (e.g., success or failure).
• Configuration Data: Slack workspace authentication tokens required to securely send alerts to your designated channels.

Retention Period:

All alert and message data is retained for the duration of your active subscription to our service. This allows your team to access a complete history of all notifications sent to your workspace. Data is stored in a secure environment with access limited to authorized personnel.

We do not store any other data from your Slack workspace, such as user lists, conversations from other channels, or files.

Your Data Rights:

To request deletion, access, or transfer of your Slack integration data, please contact us at support@storage-defender.com. We will respond to your request within 2 business days and permanently delete all associated alert content, message metadata, and authentication tokens from our production systems within 30 days.
